Most couples have a romantic movie as "their movie." For Laur and I, it was Miller's Crossing. We watched it over and over again.

I think Laur liked it because she likened our relationship to that of Verna and Tom. She waffled on who was which character. It depended on her mood.

She'd said many times that we were two peas in a pod. "Interchangeable, almost."

I didn't see us as all that similar but if Laur had me beat on anything (and she had me beat on a lot of things), it was insight, so who knows?
